Smile for a Lifetime

WHO WE ARE
Smile for a Lifetime Foundation is a charitable non-profit organization that provides orthodontic care to individuals who may not otherwise have the opportunity to acquire assistance. Launched in 2008, the Foundation reaches individuals with orthodontic needs who are facing financial challenges and other special situations. The Foundation sponsors orthodontic care for hundreds of patients each year. Smile for a Lifetime Foundation has participating orthodontists throughout the United States. Each chapter has its own local Board of Directors that chooses patients for treatment.

OUR MISSION
It is our mission to create self confidence, inspire hope and change the lives of children in our community in a dramatic way. The gift of a beautiful smile can do all of this for a deserving, underserved individual who, in turn, can use this gift to better themselves and our community.

WHO QUALIFIES
Interested candidates must submit a Smile for a Lifetime Foundation application.  It is available at the bottom of this page.  The application outlines the qualifications for consideration as a Foundation patient.

THE DOCTOR
Dr. Papandreas is a Cleveland native.  He is a graduate of Lakewood High School and the University of Illinois.  He graduated as class valedictorian from the Loyola University Chicago School of Dentistry.  Dr. Papandreas completed his training in Orthodontics by earning both a specialty certificate and a Master of Science from the internationally renowned Baylor University College of Dentistry in Dallas. 

Dr. Papandreas is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Ohio Dental Association and the Cleveland Dental Society.  He belongs to the Schulman Study Group, whose members rank as the top orthodontic practices nationwide.  Dr. Papandreas remains at the forefront of dental education through his participation as a guest lecturer at the Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry and as founder of the Ohio Academy of Interdisciplinary Dentofacial Therapy.  He resides in Strongsville with his wife, two daughters and a son.

The members of our Board of Directors are as diverse as the area we serve; however, leadership and passion for community involvement and improvement are characteristics that they all share.

We accept applications on a rolling basis.  Our Board reviews them quarterly.  We encourage applicants who are not selected for treatment in one quarter to resubmit their applications for consideration during the next quarter.
